    hows the going lads,just wondering if anyone in and around the munster area has any antlers they are not useing.im looking for some to make walking sticks.i havent shot any big stag this season so im goosed until next season.sound in advance

    if you can hold off for 2 months you can hunt casts. .thats what ill be at anyway

    ya il be doing the same my self.ive actually got a german shepard pup and shes about 5 months old now.i got her as a guard dog.but i have been taining her to find antlers for the past month and shes taken to it like a duck to water.i started her just around the house hideing the anters here and there for the first 2 weaks and then in the woods and shes getting them every time.i took her up the woods the last few days just to see if there was any previous sheds but we havent got anything yet.hopefully shell hit on some soon

    im never hopeful of finding them before spring because as far as i know deer eat them for the calcium. .if your into the deer shooting that dog might come in handy for antlers alright. .while there still attachd :-D

    going to be hunting for sheds in the spring myself for knife handles. Got one I want to replace and thinking of doing the same to another if I pick it up.

    the deer eat their shed antlers,never knew that.do they do this straight after shedding or just if things get harsh.

    only tome I found sheds was two years ago and bot on the same day, same side of the head two five points
    farmer told me he used to find loads up till a few years ago
    couple of months and you should be able to find some ;)

    Hunting for shed antlers, how does that work?

    fallow loose them around april so just take a walk through where you know there are stags and you might get lucky.

    only ever found 2 skulls my self with antlers on.havent found any sheds yet.hopefully the dog will be better at it than me

    I got a load of shed antlers from a deer farm a while back, I'll try a few places later in the spring. They are the nicest antlers to make sticks from.

    im mad to get me hands on a skull with the antlers attached..would love to get one and mount on a plaque..but no one seems to keep them
