Paypal account frozen

    Tried to pay a bill using Paypal today and was told my account was set to "limited access", meaning I could login, but do little else. I went through a process of dispute resolution and was asked to provide photo ID for these good people – OFAC, who are now in charge of the case. They sent me an email asking about my links to Iran (wtf?). Anyone come across anything similar? I have a feeling I'll loose access for good now.

    I had my Paypal account frozen just before Christmas. I went through the steps they said I had to. i.e. I changed my password and secret question and submitted a review request. But they emailed me to say they couldn't lift the restriction until I spoke to them on the phone. So when I eventually got around to calling them in January I spoke to an Indian lady who reviewed my case and got the restriction lifted. I didn't need to give them photo ID. Have you tried speaking to them?
    My account had been frozen because I had logged in from a computer that was running a VPN service. Apparently this was a violation of their Ts & Cs.
    I don't like Paypal one bit. I wish there were other onlne payment options on eBay. Paypal are a rip off.
