Anyone got a quick solution for this?

I had an x10 mini pro and had all my music on the memory card, I just put the card into the xperia play and it wont recognize any wma files, but the old phone does. Then as that didn't work I put music onto the xperia play card and the same deal, won't play wma files.

    Am I doing something stupid?

Try install another music player from the market such as winamp.

Thanks, I'll give it a go tomorrow, it seems like a step.backwards though if it won't play wma, it doesn't have an fm radio either could you recommend an app?

Tune in radio is a great app. Pro version is free on getjar.

Thanks, this might be a silly question but is it possible to get an fm tuner that doesn't require a internet connection?

I would have suggested Spirit Fm from the market but on closer inspection the xperia play doesn't have the hardware to do FM radio.

Yep the play doesnt have an FM radio. A bit silly IMO, my only critic with the phone. Best internet app is Tune In Pro. Its on GetJars site for free. Sleep timer is a nice function
