Value of ProTools TDM system?

    I've done some searching online including trawling adverts.ie and ebay but cannot find this information. Hoping that some folk here might either have a suggestion on where to look or can offer a suggested price.

    I have a ProTools TDM system with additional mix and DSP cards as well as a spare DSP card. System includes a couple dozen plug-ins, 5.2 software, a G4 mac with twin monitor output, a pair of 17-inch monitors, 2 x 888 interfaces, spare interface cables, a spare G4 mac.

    I'm going to sell it on adverts.ie but want to put a reasonable price tag on the whole system. Any suggestions?

    If Avid are doing upgrade deals it may be worth something to someone who is getting a HDX system. Apart from that its a really old system pre HD even.
    I wouldn't imagine its worth a lot TBH.

    Yeah it's a bit of a tough one alright. I looked at the typical prices of the various interfaces and TDM cards and worked out that with the 2 macs, extra DSP cards, extra interface and software and so on I could get about 1,000 selling everything separately so I stuck it on adverts for 900 and will see what comes back. It's a nice system and works great - I've moved on to making my music in different ways now so I needed to make a change to Logic and this system will just be taking up needed space in my studio.

    Would be a great system if just editing audio and you don't need ADC. Can you run V 6 on this ? Price seems about right.

    Yeah it'll run v6. I didn't bother upgrading to v6 because I didn't want to have to do an OSX install and the system is running well [if it ain't broke....]
