If someone asked you to kill them

Would you, if someone came up to you right. And asked you to kill them. You don't really know this person, casual acquaintance say, you have no emotional investment with them. They have some sort of incurable disease that will kill them slowly, and painfully. And they ask you to kill them, to spare them from this. There'd be no legal consequences, so to speak, you couldn't be arrested for murder or what have you. Would you?

you couldn't be arrested for murder

Fairly sure you could, if not for murder then for something else.

No, I'd be horribly scarred for life. Plus I'm not good with the whole blood thing.

Hypothetical scenario. In which you could not be arrested for murder. Its legally sanctioned, one time. Or something.

Yeah sure, for a small fee.

I'd tell them to ask a family member or friend.......but I'd always remember with fondness the lunatic who approached me on the street and asked me to kill them.

I'd probably bring them to Switzerland, let someone who knows what they're doing sort it out.

No, a life is a life.

Couldn't live with my self in the knowledge that I ended another human beings life.

Then why would you want to do it? If you had no emotional attachment to them to begin with then it'd make no sense to do it. You'd have to live with it for the rest of your life.. whether it was the right thing to do or not. So you'd end up investing emotions in the person one way or another.

Would you have a problem with someone else helping them commit suicide or is it just that you couldn't do it?

I'd facilitate and aid them as much as possible, but the actual act would have to be committed by themselves.

As I've no emotional investment I would not see the point in me doing it personally.

But I do think that Euthansia should be allowed under special circumstances and whatnot.

They'd have to pay me a lot of money for me to even consider doing it

I'd kill them before they even asked.

This might sound incredibly psychopathic but here goes: Yes. Definitely. Just to feel what it's like to kill a man. I'm not saying this would be a good feeling, just a feeling that you simply cannot get in any other circumstances.

So...ahh...which way is the psychiatric ward? :pac:

    No, I would not.

Just a man? What, do you have you got a problem with killing women?

Figured someone would say that. Kudos for the originality :p

On second thought though, in response to the OP, I would probably just tell them that I could not be trusted to do it as I'd probably just make a balls of it and they'd be left in a hospital bed somewhere with half a head. :o

No one knows what's on the other side and killing someone is going to have consequences.

Just me personally couldn't do it.

Am not a religious nut or anything, but I believe the man above doesn't take kindly to bumping off other people lol.

Nah. I only kill people once I've gotten to know them. Killing is just too impersonal without the emotional connection.

    No problem.
I would feel nothing doing it.

No point asking me to do it then. It would be faster and less painful to let the disease run its course.

If I had complete and utter clear amnesty against all possible charges for assisting someone sure I's do it.
