Audio Jack Retasking

My problem is to do with re tasking the 3.5 audio jacks on my laptop.

My laptop supports 7.1 sound ( the headphone jack is front speakers, mic in is centre/ sub, line in for rear speakers and the S/PDIF is for the side speakers). The mic jack is faulty and i want to re task the S/PDIF to be the centre/sub so I can still use my 5.1 speakers.

When I plug into the S/PDIF jack my Realtek HD audio manager only gives me the option for digital out or side speakers out(7.1) is there any way of adding another option to this.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed.
