Would be interested in hearing more about the trailer, if it's still available.

Can it attach and detach from the bike fairly easy?

I actually bought the trailer off Feck Sake Lad, but I'm selling it again myself. Basically, you simply replace the skewer in in the bike's rear wheel, with a special skewer supplied with the trailer and it just pops on and off it easily. I was trying to fit it onto the back of a much wider cargo bike with a solid axle and it wouldn't go. So I haven't used it at all. Still interested?

    Hi,
Yeah, still interested, I'd love to know what the brand name or model is though.

If you're anywhere near Dublin city centre I could maybe take a look at it.

I think it's one of the Edinburgh Co-op trailers. I'm in Dublin 9, are you in the centre during the day?

I'll buy a share in it with someone!!! :D

Actually, I wonder if there's a rental market for it.

Having done a bit of research it looks like that particular trailer will be unsuitable for the intended user. I'm going to recommend them decent panniers tbh.

    Thanks anyway Harry.

That's cool. I need to put a proper ad up for it and another trailer anyway.

What I thought also. It goes on a regular QR rear wheel no?

Basically. Unscrew your own and add their one. It has extensions that the trailer fits onto.

A child trailer. A Spokey Joe from Argos that needs a wash.

What's the lowest price you could let that go for (unwashed lol)?

How realistic would it be to use that as an occasional cargo trailer?

Ah, I'd wash it either way. Lowest would be 50 tbh.

Yeah, it'd be grand, I'd risk perfect. I've used it for shopping, for helping someone move house and for a small child obviously. It works on a different system than the other trailer. It basically has a hitch that you can fit into the rear skewer and you easily connect and disconnect it. It's good for 100lbs as far as I remember.

    Hey,
I'll give you the €50 for it if it's in good nick, and if we can sort out for you to drop it to someone for me up there as I'm in Mayo,

    Cheers zip,

Sounds like it could be right for what I need.

I think you'll find I enquired first and called "dibs" (see post 11).

Surely dibs protocol supercedes these "boards" rules you speak of:D

I've already arranged to hire the trailer out to seeing_ie. ;)
Anyone else interested let me know.
€5 a day and €150 deposit up front. Can be collected from Dublin 9 . :D

Harry, Seeing will have a brown envelope for you there when he comes to pick up the trailer...

cool...still trying to figure out my best option as i want to do malin to mizen on a road bike...think renting a trailer might be best cost wise at least :)

do you have a link to a manufacturers description of it?

    Trailer

TBH, I need to fix some stuff on it first. I may need to get new catches in for it. Someone had a go with it and messed around with them and they're not great now. They might be ok, but if you want to call over and decide for yourself. Where are you located?

i'm in d8...no massive rush anyway as i'm not doing the trip till august. i'll post back here when i've a free saturday or sunday & see will it suit you to meet for me to have a look at it.
i wouldn't really have an interest in buying it but am sure we could come to an arrangement for me to rent it off you for the week of the tour & maybe a weekend some time in july for a trial run too!

btw have you run it at all yourself? if so, what kind of bike have you used it on and over what kind of distance?

TBH, I'd rather not have it in July. It's taking up room in the garage and cycling funds are low.

I haven't tried it myself at all.
