Vodafone unlock phone

I've been a bill pay customer for 15 years with Vodafone. Recently I switched to 3, because I fell for their iphone offer. :) Now, I still have my old Nokia 5800 that I would like to unlock from Vodafone. I should have unlocked before I left because now my account with Vodafone is gone I cannot unlock it.... How do I solve…

By the way, my partner has pay as you go vodafone but would never reach the topup requirement, so that option is out
