Adare (new), Castletroy and Shannon are the best courses in close proximity to Limerick IMO. After that, it depends how far you want to travel, Lahinch for instance is less than an hours drive. Plenty of choice within 30 minutes of Limerick City.

If your staying in the city then Castletroy is your best bet. Only a few minutes from the center and a lovely course..

Probably get Adare for a reasonable price this time of year, especially the friday. After that take any from Castletroy,Shannon and Dromoland ain't too far from limerick either.all depends on budget I suppose but they should all be affordable this time of year.

Thanks for the replys lads. Castle troy looks good. its listed as €50 per round on the website. Is that not slighly expensive. can you get it any cheaper

I wouldn't think they'd be likely to deal but you might as well give them a ring and see what they say. Dromoland usually do a deal on weekends for golf and a steak dinner which might be worth keeping in mind.

If you want something cheap in Limerick city, try Rathbane...

You'd probably get the manor course in Adare for that and Adare is a far superior course.

Depends what you are looking for, a nice course try Adare, a round of golf head for Rathbane....

That is their summer rate i think, try ringing them i'm pretty sure they will have a cheaper rate for this time of the year.
