Ryan Tubridy is joined by Dancing on Ice co-host Christine Bleakley. Keith Duffy drops by with his son Jay, who recently joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Declan Brady, and the pair talk about their close bond and acting success. Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman also discusses his career.

Will Ryan cha cha cha :p

False advertising! Never associated the words "acting" and "success" with Keith Duffy. He is the same in everything I seen him in, even popped up in Death in Paradise as a member of a West Indies Band, it was just him in a Bandana.

replace "drops by" with "was probably around the studio for something and a guest slot needed filling"

More and more you have to watch UK reality TV muck to have any idea who the guests are on RTE's Prime chat show.

How on earth did Jay Duffy, at such a young age, and with very little professional showbiz experience behind him, manage to get on the LLS?

I reckon it must have went something like this:

Keef: "Here Roiyan, giz da yun-fella a slot on yer show, wudz ya?"

    Ryan Tubridy: "Ok."

Sorry to be off-topic, tried to watch the segment of last week's show where Liam Cunningham was talking about his new programme, but the fécking RTE Player seems to be fooked.

Can't get past the ads before it starts. Is this happening to anyone else?

Ah for fcuk sake, that's just brutal.

Why oh why am I paying a TV licence. He might as well get Dana on too.

Still waiting for a guest that you could call genuinely B-List. No joke...unlike this show.

I reckon Cuba Gooding told all his Hollywood movie pals to steer well clear of this crappy little Irish chat show with this skinny Tubridy guy and his interviewing 'technique'.

What do you mean you don't like grainy youtube clips of the most famous film you were in thirty years ago??

    God help us...

    Other guests tonight are:

Declan Ganley (Libertas Founder, Supporter of a Federal Europe)

Sarah Bolger (Actress and LLS regular)

John McGuire (That clown who encouraged people to buy modest houses for huge prices at the height of the boom, and who had a revolting show on RTE about Men's Fashion recently)

Kieran Behan (Irish Gymnast who qualified for the Olympics during the week, despite being told he wouldn't walk again some time ago)

Music from Scala and The Lost Brothers

Is it wrong that I laughed when i read this? Jesus, there's not one reason to watch that pile of sh1te tonight...with the exception of partaking in this thread of course.

Christine Bleakley, have no time for this lady.
    Declan Ganley should be good.
    Len Goodman will be fun.
    Keith Duffy, god help us.

This **** has got to stop, I am just tired of all this bull**** that they call a chatshow. They wont have the balls or the intellect to make it into the show it should be so we are stuck with this godawful tripe......thank god for graham norton.

I think its time to put this wounded animal out of its misery, I know its the longest running chatshow in the world but everything must come to an end.

Christine Bleakley: WAG therefore gold digger.

Declan Ganley: A man of huge self importance with serious questions about his past so could be interesting if Tubs asks the right questions.

    Len Goodman: Who?

Keith Duffy: Jesus wept. Actually saw him and his kid on Grafton Street the other day and it looked he was genuinely tangoed.

John McGuire: Would love for Tubs to ask how did he put on so much weight given that he went bankrupt:)

    Sarah Bolger: Gorgeous.

It is sad to see the Late Late Show dying this slowly. I think Tubs is blameless really as the format is old hat and it should have been put down when Gaybo left but it is a cash cow so it remains. The one positive is that smug Plank is gone.

I saw Keith Duffy and the actor son on daybreak or one of those uk breakfast shows it wasn't good to watch. Keith loves himself so much and kept trying to big up how good an actor his son was(I think he's in Hollyoaks or something) if the lad is so good couldn't he do the interviews on his own without daddy?

How the hell would Keef Duffy know what good acting is?? :pac:

I can't believe John McGuire is on the LLS tonight, he was on the Saturday Night Show with Brendan not so long ago. As for his "Sharp Dressed Man" programme, it was complete and utter crap. This guy gets way too much coverage from RTE.

Looking forward to Scala and Kolacny Brothers though, I like their version of Without or Without You (Downton Abbey Theme Tune).

I think the problem is not the actual show but the host/DLB

    Agree 100%.

Some people seem to think that having the world's longest running weekly chat show is a bad thing?

RTE need to move fast to save it and hopefully salvage some of the importance it once had on Irish society. I know times have changed but in times such as these Irish people need cheering up on a Friday night not illness of the week followed by some death in the family of a guest. FFS, I can get that from my grandmother any time I want...

Unfortunately its nothing but 3rd-rate dogsh*t now fronted by a 4th-rate host...

FOR GOD'S SAKE, SAVE THE LLS!!

I thought menswear in the 80's was pretty horrific but his gangster suit takes some beating.

I'd have to disagree, to be honest.

It is way too long. And being live limits the standard of guests they can get.

Tubridy is not great, but anyone would struggle with it these days.

They should have rebranded 'Tubridy Tonight' as 'The Late Late Show' and kept it as a US style light hearted show.

A good presenter would have asked him 'why the accent?' early on, because a lot of people are probably wondering, and he'll undoubtly ask it eventually
