    Hi all,
I was just wondering would anynody know the price of a tonsillectomy without health insurance. I've suffered for years witth strep throat and the odd bout of tonsillitus (sp?) and from what I hear a tonsillectomy seems to be the way forward. Thought id ask of some friendly advice from anyone who has experienced first hand to see if I can afford it before going to my gp.
Any usefull information is greatly appreciated!biggrin.gif

In the public system the only charge is the nightly bed charge, €75 per night up to a maximum of €750 in any one year. I wouldn't think a tonsillectomy would be more than 1-2 nights, but I'm open to correction on that.
