Hey, Just looking for advise for the best place to get my GT JTD serviced in the Limerick area. Nearest Alfa dealers are in Cork/Dublin:mad:.

A good independent with Alfa experience or an other brand dealership that would service it would be okay. Based in Shannon so Limerick/Clare general area.

Also getting close to T/B & Water pump change time so would like to get these done also.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure if Clareview Motors on the Ennis Road are still Alfa Romeo dealers but I would image that their mechanics probably would be well familiar with servicing them.

There's also a guy in the Clondrinagh Industrial Estate off the dual carriageway. He specialises in fuel injection etc and has a lot of experience with Alfas. It's been some years since I went to him and I can't remember the name. Knows his stuff, though, if you can find the right place.

Any Fiat, Opel or Saab garage should be familiar with the engine but if its just a routine service with no particular faults you need sorting, any mechanic worth their salt should be able to do it.

Who does FIAT in Limerick now? It used to be Motorzone Fiat/Alfa Dock road, but they are no more.

Thought it was Elm but no outward signs of FIAT there.

No idea but if Elm are still doing service work, I doubt they'd refuse the job. What about Ennis, surely there's a Fiat dealer and/or Opel dealer there too.

R.S. Auto in Clondrinagh is the guy you should go to.

I know I'm dragging up an old thread but have to get my 147 serviced. I rang RS Autos only to discover they have closed...have tried the mobile number they give for Mike a few times but no answer.

Does anyone know if he has finished too and if so can you recommend an alternative near Limerick please?

Clareview is €250 for service without the sparks....

    Thanks

RS Autos have closed, after 40 years afaik.

If you want somewhere close then right across the road from where RS Autos were is CMC, they are a BMW indy but they service any make of car. I get my BMW serviced there and my father and sister get their non BMWs serviced there too. They will be alot cheaper than a main dealer. Tel: 061 329369.

    Thanks folks,

Will try the bmw place, failing that its suck it up and pay Clareview. Lee Garage in Cork are only €10 cheaper. Such a pity about RS....
