Maybe a silly question...I haven't received the book back from Shannon yet so if I go through the tolls on the M50 will the bill be sent to the old owner assuming it hasn't been put in my name yet?

    Cheers

    The bill is never sent.

You have 2 days to pay. You can do this in a shop or online. If you don't pay by those 2 days, they send a bill to the owner with a doubled price to pay as a fine.

You can ring the number and pay the toll even if you dont own the car..

    Hi Krank,

Just to add some further info: you have until 8pm the night after you drive through the M50 toll (for each individual passage, north or south) to pay (€3 each way for a car).
You can pay at www.eflow.ie by inputting the licence plate number, or you can pay over the phone - 1890-50-10-50 (lines open between 7am and 11pm; outside of these hours there is an automated service) or you can pay in cash at a Payzone outlet (several garages, convenience shops, supermarkets etc).

    Regards :)
    Una

the previous owner probably got the non payment notice.
When he contacts shannon and tells them the car was not his at the time they will then come after the newly logged owner with the fine.
