Meteor wireless dongle

I recently bought this device and found it was much faster than the first dongle (not wireless) i had.

The thing is it was working perfect on the laptop, another laptop and a kindle. Then it stopped working on one of the laptops. Works fine with the other. It works fine with the kindle too. I made no changes to any settings, It just stopped working. It says on the system tray it's connected but when I open a browser it says cannot connect to the internet. I have made sure the browser is set to work online.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Is the security code entered correctly on the devices?

Is the device a Wireless access point type thing? If it is there is usually a security code, WPA, WEP etc. Its usually written on the base of the unit on a sticker. Try recreating the wireless network and see if it helps. If you tell me what OS your using, XP, Vista, 7 etc I can expain how this is done

Yes it's a wireless router thing, new to the market I believe. It's 802.11 b/g. The Os is xp sp2 I think. It runs perfect on the vista machine and the kindle 3. Is it possible that the xp machine will only pick up 802.11 b and it has automatically changed itself to 802.11 g to suit the other machines.

The correct code is entered. It says in the system tray it is connected. But when the browser is opened, it says no connection to the internet.

I have tried several different ways of getting around this, even a system restore, but nothing has worked. I've tried different solutions offered on the web and still nothing.

Routers should be able to handle both b & g connections, even n routers handle both b & g. Try the following to get around it:
Go into Start>control Panel>Network Connections. Right click on your wifi card and click the View Wireless Networks option, then click changed advanced settings.
Under here click manage networks (I think), delete the devices network connection and try recconect, re entering the WPDa encryption key when asked. See if this helps
