Radiator hot then cold then hot??

I have a radiator that is hot one day and cold the next. Things I've tried... 1) balancing 2) turned off every rad except problem one. It heated up fine one day didn't work the next 3) bled all radiators in the house What else can I do? Anybody know what the problem is?
