I'd check the EGR valve before throwing new bits at it, could cause the symptoms and fault codes you've mentioned. It's a fairly common problem on the older four pot motors and can often be fixed just by cleaning it. Haven't seen a three pot in quite a while and I don't know if it's as common but worth a look.

The O2 sensor is coming up because of the misfire don't worry about that.its more then likely a coil in my experience.

is there any way of testing the coil at all? or even testing the 02 sensor?

P0135 is the fault code for a malfunction in the heating circuit of the Lambda. If the misfire was causing the lambda fault then the fault would be the range/performance of the lambda or a system too rich fault.

If the lambda is not heating correctly then it won't be giving the correct reading to the ECU to match the engine temperature sensor. The P0300 code is for random multi cylinder misfire which, in this case, could be caused by incorrect air/fuel ratio readings from the lambda.

On a corsa, if the coilpack fails you will get a code for one specific cylinder.

The live data readings from a decent diagnostic computer will allow you to see the signals from each component and see what is or isn't within range.

plugged car up again today and the p0135 code has gone and the p0300 p0301 and p0302 is still there so would ya say the 02 sensor is playing up and throwing up the misfires? dont want to be thrpwing parts into this car as its due for test at end of the month and then its being sold
