How many Business' in the SME sector?

    Hi,

    Anybody care to take a rough estimate at the number of Business' in the SME sector.

    2 - 10 / 5 -15 employee's.

    Looking for some data to back up a Business plan.

    I can find lot's of data on CSO.ie / The Enterprise Board Websites / Bank of Ireland etc etc on new start ups in Dublin per year for the last x amount of years.

    But I'm just looking for a rough total figure.

    As in there are x,000 SMEs in the greater Dublin City area.

    Some sort of reference material would be also good!
