The blurb: ''A scathing look at the white male on the verge of collapse, Rick Alverson’s carefully observed portrait provokes and disorients; a cautionary fable for the autumn of the American Era.''

Set to screen at the Sundance Film Festival later this month, trailer looks undeniably epic.

This was unexpected and I'm delighted to see that the end of LCD has been documented like this. Now I know I've not seen it but judging from the trailer, the look, the shots, style and with their music it looks like it can't fail. Can't wait to see it.

Nothing they could do would ever top all my friends imo ..very hard for bands like this to reinvent and come up with a new angle..Fischersooner also a case in point,Mgmt another..amazing breakthru albums,,but subsequent albums where less than good and forgettable.

True. Murphys a smart geezer too, he knew this and this was the best way to go. 'You wanted a hit' was the perfect swansong to a truly great band. Will never forget thier show in Inveraray Castle @ the Connect Festival. He'll be back in some guise, if he isn't already....

Given the success of Stop Making Sense in the Lighthouse recently I imagine it's the sort of film they'd get in for a night or two at least.
