Wanna split the cost between a few of us? I'm sure we could scrap up a couple of million to get a pair :P

Or we could all work the streets for the next few months, we'll be walking crooked for a while but it'd totally be worth it.

Hopefully the government (in an uncharacteristic fit of modernism) will allow the visually impaired to drive if equipped with one of these. One can hope...

Mmmm augmented reality. I was almost disappointed thinking it was just going to be for tv.

All they need is to get them to work together and we have holograms.

Look someone is bound to do it, it might as well be me.

Also if I may say, I actually don't think these will cost that much, I'd imagine they'd be fairly affordable because what it looks like their trying to do is have them connect to phones so you can stream videos etc, so to tap into that large market I'm sure the cost won't be astronomical. In fact I could see them bundling these with a high end phone or tv (so you can keep watching telly after you leave the room :P)

I wonder if we'll see it being used in gaming in the future. I could imagine something like this - for the people who could be bothered to get away from their desks and couches.

Of course, injuries could be even higher than we've seen with the wii.

I think this should be the future of gaming:
Skip to about 10 min to see just the simulator

I don't know, I think it's safer to stick with prescription spectacles for the visually impaired.

I've been waiting for these. I wonder how it handles focus though? If you focused on something 10 meters away surely the screen a few millimetre from your eye won't be in focus. Even as an overlay for augmented reality the glasses wouldn't work as your overlay would be out of focus.
