I watched as far as season 2 and tried some of the later seasons. The cast were rather atrocious in contrast to the first cast so i'll give it a miss.

How is Skins still going? :S As someone already mentioned, the cast have been dire since the original series and the storylines have been just as bad.

horrible programme with the exception of season 1, detestable characters wallowing in their own self importance whilst spending their parents money on drugs and booze

The first cast were slightly better but I am warming to the new ones. Its a good drama though. A bit wacky but you can related to how the characters feelings which is good. They give a good sense of their emotions which can touch the audience I think. The camera shots are quiet good and intense it almost feels like you are there.

Third generation has got a lot of stick but it's underrated. Monday's one was one of the better episodes i've seen of Skins outright, great start to the series and some great plotlines forming

The thing about Skins is that it would never reach the heights of generation 1 but it has remained watchable because the storylines focussed on different characters mean its likely you'll find at least a few characters likeable. In generation 2, I felt the pleasant innocence of Thomas, JJ and Pandora compensated for the lame lesbian storyline. In generation 3, the quickly developed romance between Rich and Grace outshines anything that has gone before. The new Rich episode Ive just watched tonight.....it was chilling and Im analysing it to the nth degree, but it was just...wow. I feel its downhill all the way from here though, only Franky is the only other character left I like

Currently watching on +1. It's woeful schite altogether.

Generation 1 was just about believable but this is just ridiculous. I'm very dissapointed in the Frankie character this season. She's gone from struggling with being a butch lesbian (actually believable as a gay girl, unlike the previous season) to some kind of ultra feminine femme fatale straight girl.

Seems tv still can't cope with lesbians who aren't appealing to straight men.

C4 head of drama is a woman, its not just guys that like fem lesbians some fems do. Series isn't as good as the first Skins IMHO.

That was chilling. Seriously though, as good as that was, i think that episode has probably set the rest of the series up to fail.

Last week's episode was one of the best from the six series so far. Series 3 and 4 (second generation) were fairly poor but I feel the two first episodes of this series have been good. The last series was an improvment on 3 and 4 as well.

It's been extended out to ten episodes instead of the normal 8 this series too so it might allow it to end a bit better than the 2nd generation which ended abruptly and tried to tie up too many loose ends in the last episode.

Possible to hate a character as much as Frankie?

She's a bit weird. Why she was with the douche is beyond me I know why she was but it took her ages to see common sense that he was dangerous and a gombeen.

Aww, nick is in love with her though...I really felt for him when he said 'what are you doing to me frankie'. Good how she went to see someone to talk about what happened to grace. Pity they wrote her out of it.

I hope nick mans up and says how he feels for her, no guy would save her like the way he did and face up to that douche luke. He got a hiding just for a girl. Sweet but in a bad way. A guy wouldn't go to the trouble to save her out of that situation if he didn't love her. She did need saving and she was too stubborn to realise and just wanted her way to rid of her anger and frustration.

They were about to kiss and then she just wanted to stay friends...

Have they introduced him loving her in just this episode? some lazy ****. Also, why after a major character dies do we not see their boyfriend for two straight weeks? I can understand not seeing him in school and that, such a missed opportunity. They probably wouldn't have handled it that well, actually that's probably why there's no mention of him lately.

I generation 1, 2 and 3. And I like this series! I reckon it'll be dumped after this one though because views have gone way down but I love it all the same. It goes without saying though Gen 1 were the best. And I agree about not seeing Rich in two episodes, that's not really great, and by the looks of things he's not in Monday's episode with Mini either. Ilike Franky though, she reminds me of Effy, loads of different levels and not knowing what she wants and all that..
Anyway Frankys episode was definitely my favourite from this series..

Quite enjoying the current season. The 2nd group had some good characters but just took it too far really with each of them in some nearly unrealistic situation. The current season (and the last from what I can remember of it, not seen it in a while) have dealt with more realistic storylines and it's really profiting from it.

Ultimately this is easily the best season since 1.

I'd have to agree, it's been great stuff. I think Rich should get a second episode this season though rather than mini and franky, there's a lot that needs to be sorted out as far as his character is concerned

I really hope Cooke is in those 3 episodes next year, if they make them that is. He was probably my favourite character from all 6 series.

I think its a good idea to round off this way. If Cook and Effy return, hope we can learn more on the aftermath of Freddys death which appeared to be swept under the rug by teachers Dougie and Blood by the time the next generation came around.
Also some unfinished storylines regarding first generation characters.... definitely hope Tony and Sid return to enlighten us

Well that's generation three finished and the last full series with it.. What an end too, have to say. Brilliant stuff, season 6 was absolutely excellent from start to finish it has to be said, definitely the best since the 3rd series at the very least

It was a nice ending! At least Frankie gets to sort her life out. And mini has a little baby aww.

Ya was a very good series, good end to it too with all their lives about to change, baby and college in tow. They probably finally come to terms with what has happened to them and what happened to grace.

Great drama, will miss the way the shots are created though, you really get in with what the character is feeling and what is going inside their head.

Imo the special next season will tie up the franky line as an understory to the main one, which i assume will be matty going on trial or such like. another understory with rich getting a new lady or something as well too maybe.

Im more interested in finding out the whole aftermath from the season 4 ending, that and maybe we will find out if sid and cassie ever found each other in new york at the end of season 2

imo season one/two special will be basically a "where are they now" sort of epilogue.

season 3/4 ties in loose ends because with season 4 being shortened to 8 eps it meant that they didn't get to sort the story out at all really. Looking forward to that one the most.
