Lads, does anyone know if there is a gaelic football pitch in London city? I know there is a heap out west, but I'm working very central and was hoping to practise free's in the evenings after work. There's a couple of rugby pitches I know of but the ones I know of are generally used for rugby training in the evenings. Any help much appreciated. Ta

That'd be West London I think.
Best bet I'd say would be to contact London County Board http://www.londongaa.org/

What area exactly are you in? There are clubs all over. The best bet is probably West of the city, Fulham Irish train in Bishops park in Putney. I know a few other teams train on putney common and clapham common, but if you're looking for posts, thats your best bet. Otherwise, you need to head northwest, willesden, finchley or somewhere like that.

Cheers Lads. Yeah I know about most of the clubs, I was playing out in west London but it's too far for me to travel in the evenings just to kick free's so I was looking for somewhere more local. I'm based around Liverpool Street station so if anyone has any suggestions please fire them my way. Thanks.

Looks ideal, thanks. Would it be free most evenings?

Well we'll be training on it Tuesdays and Thursdays once the evenings get a bit longer. Other than that there might be a kids soccer team playing across it but they're not near the goals so you'd be fine

Dulwich harps train in Peckham rye park, not sure if there's posts there or not..or if its an area I'd venture into at all!..but its close enough to the city.

Thomas McCurtains, you're more than welcome to come on out. Jim's number is on the site, he'll let you know when training is back on
