Half Marathon-Which Training Plan?

    Hi guys,
    Just signed up for a half marathon. I've just started back running after a few years out. I can run 3 miles in 25 mins (that is first run out). I used to run 3 miles in roughly 21-22 mins. I was wondering would anyone know which training plan to go by. Hal Higdon promotes runs with no speed work but Runners World recommend speed work. Kind of lost and I'm starting the programme (whichever I choose) tomorrow night.
    Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
