Booking hotel +flight with Aer Lingus

If you book a flight and hotel package with Aer Lingus and say your flights are cancelled due to ash cloud or other act of god are your hotel booking cancelled by /covered by Aer Lingus like with a bonded travel agent?

No. All that happens is your hotel booking is done through another site liked to the Aer Lingus website. Essentially you've still booked flights and hotel separately.
