Im surprised that theres no thread on this already. New comedy with Sean William Scott, which I know doesnt exactly inspire confidence. But I went to see it last night and I have to say I thought it was great. A feel good movie at a time of year when they're most needed(albeit a bloody one). Sean William Scott wouldnt be my favourite actor but he puts in a pretty decent performance, as does everybody involved. But its Liev Schrieber who really stands out, he's brilliant and not on-screen enough.
    8/10.

I saw it and didn't make much of it really. I was a bit surprised that it was a comedy at the end. At had it's moments alright but that's about it. It's certainly a feel good movie and I enjoyed it but I wouldn't be interested in watching it again.

I saw this at the weekend and really enjoyed it too. THe violence was a little unexpected but thoroughly enjoyable and the characters though a little 2D were very likable. I rooted for the team and their inevitable improvement both on and off the field and I think this is probably the only time I've seen a movie wit SWS and actuall enjoyed him in it! 8/10 sounds about right.

I know thats what I thought too. But its best to put all preconceptions aside and give it a chance. Schrieber really is brilliant so its worth going for his performance alone.

I'm getting kind of curious about this now, it seems its been getting reasonable good reviews too. Its the same director as Its All Gone Pete Tong which was pretty good too!

Saw it last Saturday and really enjoyed it. There were plenty of laughs, some great visceral violence and a bit of heart to it all. It may not be an all time classic but it entertained for its duration and left me with a smile on my face. A smile that was quickly removed when a group of 10 or so guys in their twenties tried to start on me in the lobby outside, staeted shouting nerd and ****** at me and asking if I was a tough man, what i wanted at half one in the morning.

I have to ask - what cinema is open at half one in the morning?

In Galway, late screenings start between 11 and 12 so you can often be in there till 2am sometimes

I watched this last night at last. Its actually really really good. SWS is great and the character is actually quite different to the type he usually plays. Really enjoyable little film. Shame it kind of snuck under the box office radar a bit.
