Nikon D50 Cleaning

    Hi,

I recently picked up my first DSLR and I am loving the quality images apart from one issue, there seems to be a spec of dust on either the camera or the lens, is there anyway to get this fixed. I presume its not a DIY job and although I got the camera for just over 100 euro I really don't want to spend a lot getting it cleaned, but I want a good job done.

Is there anywhere that can give me a price, any places to avoid etc.

    Thanks.

Are you seeing the dust in the images or in the viewfinder?

Just do a google or youtube search on how to clean a DSLR sensor. You'll need to buy a few bits and bobs to do it properly, but it very much is a DIY job these days.

i'm taking my nikon body down to DML today. i rang them this morning and he quoted €25 for a wet clean. you could try getting a hama kit that comes with those blowers.. if that doesn't do it, then take it in to get done properly if you don't trust cleaning the sensor yourself.

considering the price of the kit, DML is prob better, the DIY jobs never get it all I find
