    Hey Guys,

My old CPU fan in my computer stopped working so I replaced it with a spare fan I had from an old computer (4 years old).

Problem is, it now sounds like a hoover is constantly on.

Can you recommend me a good silent fan that will keep temps pretty low?

(CPU is a core 2 duo)

    Cheers
    Tyler

How big is your case, and what sort of heatsink is attached to your CPU?

(If you're not sure of specs, a picture is probably enough in this case. Grab one of the whole inside, and one of the fan you want replaced.)

Once I get home from work this evening, I'll post up some pictures of the inside.

    Cheers for replying!
