Pull an all-nighter. I've been off work for the past week so my sleeping patterns are all over the shop, I'm in at 8 so there's no point going to bed as I won't be able to sleep.

    Anyone ever done it?

I do it at least once a week usually on a Sunday, love coming home to bed on a Monday night and passing out like a light.

I did one twice its easy. The next day you can fall asleep wherever you like because once you close your eyes for a while you nod off. Make sure to drink pepsi tomorrow to keep alert.

They are if they sleep until 4 in the day. Slept it out for the United match :(

I do it all the time man. But no, don't do it if you can help it. Even if you can just manage to get an hour of sleep under your belt it will make a huge difference.

No, any amount of sleep will help your brain to rewire itself or whatever it does for the long day ahead. you'll only be fcuked a lot more if you try to stay awake.

I am in the same position as yourself. I pulled an all nighter last night (reading that damn new John Grisham book) and slept nearly all day. As a result I am wide awake now and afraid of falling asleep during class tomorrow :pac:.

As long as you are not driving or are responsible for people's health.

I hate that fuzzy, distracted feeling you have all day in work.
That "I should have slept longer" feeling. A buzzing in the brain.

The same thing as being drunk in the morning, lack of sleep and a few beers have the same effect on yer brain.

Yeah but he's dead now. Not so clever then, eh?

Also read about any sleep being better than none in New Scientist which was published after Einsteinian times.

I'm a college student, so I'm a pro at staying awake all night. Since this is exam week, I expect I'll be a zombie by Saturday for living on no sleep, red bull and John Player blue for the week....

The less sleep you get the less you will function correctly.

Even an hour will make things better. Yes, waking up will feel impossible, but not as impossible as the rest of the day will feel. Just have a loud alarm clock followed by a coffee, and plenty of water throughout the day.

Fit in a 10-minute power-nap at lunch time if you can.

AND DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN AGAIN!:pac:

Whenever I pull an all-nighter (about once a fortnight) I'm hit by a terribly wave of nausea some time the following morning, but it passes fairly quickly.

More importantly - why have we yet another thread on all-nighters?
