If u just had a clutch fitted I would imagine its a loose batt connection or more so prob a lose earth strap

When you say earth strap do you mean on the battery itself?

if you follow the earth from the battery it should be bolted to the gearbox i would check that

I mean the earth stap from the gearbox to the car and also from the battery yes check both clamps on the battery

old thread I know but relevant to the topic, have a 2006 mondeo 1.8 petrol, when it goes over 3000 rpm in gear it loses power,on neutral when I rev it,it doesn't,spark plugs have 25000 kms on them (platinum plugs) any idea's what else could be the issue??at times when it is struggling to get power it takes off before losing power again.
