Airbus say they know the cause from in the video, with non critical components. Can be fixed in scheduled maintenance seemingly.

Will this lead to airlines grounding their A380s, temporarily at least?

I hope this is scaremongering of sorts, as I'm taking my first ride on the beast in two weeks....;)

Pure scaremongering...paper never refused ink!!! The A330/340 have had problems with cracking in their wings over the years...on rib 6 to be precise. These are spotted on C Checks and repairs actioned and problem sorted. Yet you dont hear anybody jumping and shouting about it. I suppose its due to the A380 aircraft being new and the incidents, unfortunately, already been encountered that have been high profile - engine failure etc.

Bring a cordless drill, sheet of aluminium and some pop rivets and you will be fine. :p

not too concerned about the issue tbh, just hoping that they don't ground the fleet. Will have the deWalt on charge just in case though....:D

    Left filange report alright

Sure wasn't there a couple of the older EI A330's going around with small cracks in their fuel tanks for years. In fact EI-ORD to be exact.
