Since you cant bring a bag into the exam is there somewhere outside to leave your stuff???

Also can you bring paper in for some rough work?

Anything else that I should know?

Bags are dumped everywhere during exam time. But the changing rooms next to the sports halls are used to hang coats and bags. But do not bring anything valuable with you on exam day.

You can bring your phone and wallet/purse into the exam hall. The phone must be switched off and they must be placed under your chair. If it is left on and rings during the exam it will be confiscated and you will have to pay a fine to get it back. So double check it.

You are permitted to bring your pencil case with you but if it is on your desk it will more than likely be searched. Mine always was. You also need to bring your student card with you into the exam hall.

You can't bring rough paper in with you. Just use the back page for your rough notes.

I hope this helps. Good luck with exams.

Or just ask for another page during the exam if you don't want to use the booklet :)

If it's a smartphone, TURN IT OFF. I left my iPod Touch on silent a few years ago, someone Skyped me and I got turfed out of the exam hall by an overzealous invigilator because it could technically access notes on Moodle, etc.

Also, I did 39 exams over the period of my undergrad, left my bag wherever everyone else left theirs (with phone in it) and never had anything stolen...

I had my exam last Friday. This year you must leave your bag/coat upstairs near the gym. There are some empty lockers, so students just used them.

Bring everything valuable into the exam with you, I had my bag stolen during an exam from the corridor up by the gym last week, and a few other people had their purses/wallets robbed from their bags.

I've had important medication in my bag, which was left on the floor up by those lockers in the gym during all my exams so far, I dread to think if my bag had been taken. Luckily, I had brought my wallet and phone in with me and put it under my table.

It's only come to mind now but, those empty lockers upstairs in the gym, are there keys in them like, for you to lock them? Or what would be the point in using them right? possibly a silly question..

I had my bus ticket stolen last week Friday. I was about to enter the bus and I check my jacket pocket and it wasn't there.

I had no money and left my bank card at home. If not because of friends I would t know what to have done.

Nope. You need one of the yellow rubber gym bands with the magnet/chip in it. They only lock for a certain period of time too so you can't really leave stuff in them all day.

Edit: what is wrong with my typing these days? Typos amended.
