psychology essay

    hi im just wondering are there any psychology students on here willing to point me in the direction of how i should write my essay...to clarify i dont want actual help writing the essay..just an idea of how i should structure it and possibly the better of the 2 options. to choose... the title is ''Memory can be likened to a place or a process. Using one of these metaphors dicuss a model of memory'' thanks very much

    You must be in my class! I'm struggling with the essay too :(

    I've been told processes are easier to write on (My mom has a psych Masters).

    If you wrote it on memory as a process, you could go through the various stages, i.e. for the working memory model, you could go through the stages, encoding, rehearsal, retrieval and maybe forgetting too if you want and find articles discussing these stages.

    The key to doing well in an essay is weighing up the literature and presenting both sides of a debate, pointing out certain criticisms etc.

    Hope that helps. I didn't want to be too detailed as I've forgotten some of the facts and I don't want to put you wrong. Sorry, if the advice is a little late.
