    hi does anyone know what the procedure is for signing on dole after being out of country for few months travelling?

    Its the same process as if you have been resident.
    Go to your local SWO and fill in the forms to apply for JSA/JSB.
    You will need your passport, proof of address, and PPSN.
    Then wait for a means test (if applicable).

    If you are entitled to a jobseekers benefit payment it will be processed fairly quickly. On the other hand if its jobseekers allowance and you are means tested this may take some time and depending on the length of time you have been out of the country you make also have to complete an habitual residence form.

    Were you on a sw payment before you left and how long were you gone for?
