Also noticed this in the same piece:

Meanwhile, French prospect Yoann Offredo is likely to face a ban after the UCI informed the FFC that the FDJ-BigMat rider had missed three anti-doping tests over an 18-month period.

Offredo featured prominently in a number of races last year, notable Paris-Nice, Omloop and Milan - San Remo.

Word has it that Cav also missed a test during the year.......

there was an article about it online somewhere. He was with a BBC crew on the day it happened. Last March or April. Blamed it on an administrative error.

Not sure what the big deal is so far as Cav is concerned - I thought there was some leeway on missing tests, given you effectively have to be where you said you would be virtually 24/7. I thought it was something like 3 misses that got you in trouble

I find it interesting that the French can backdate the ban to make sure Bauge can compete in the remaining qualifying events and Olympics

According to wikipedia The Chicken was banned by the Danish federation for one violation, although he was AWOL for three weeks.

Looks like he actually missed 4 tests, although 2 were when he was AWOL in Mexico (or Italy, or wherever he was)
Rasmussen, who rides for the Dutch Rabobank team, missed visits by International Cycling Union (UCI) officials on March 24, 2006 and June 28, 2007.
It has now emerged that Rasmussen, who until December was licensed to the cycling federation of Mexico - the native country of his wife - had also been given two warnings by Anti-Doping Denmark after missing two doping tests run by the Danish Cycling Union (DCU) this year

was rasmussen not meant to have been spotted by a journalist training on his own in Italy when he claimed he was in Mexico?

The French Cheating, how dare you !!!

    Apart from Henry of course...

Seriously he should be banned for the Olympics and I can't understand why this isn't an issue.
If he beats Hoy in the final expect an almighty stink....

i read something about Hoy saying he takes off his shoes immediately after races, I wonder if he wears shoes with a very tight fit as part of the team GB 1% gain thing Chris Boardman has been working on. his bars are 33cm now, very narrow. the french are using 38cm I think, similar carbon design.
