Does anyone know any good (accurate) websites or resources to see the sort of routines and gym training done by athletes in different sports?

For example, what sort of gym work do professional footballers do seperate from the training they do on the pitch, or what do cyclists do seperate to riding their bikes?

    Thanks!

The biggest factors? Skill and hard work over many years.

You don't want a professional persons current rountine. You want what they did to get to where they are now.

Take a look at www.ufc.com/fighter and click into one of the fighters.

They give a brief overview of what their training is like.

I'm sure you'll be able to find generic "pro footballer" / "pro Cyclist" routines by just searching the internet etc

In my opinion most pro athlete's programs/workouts outside of their norm are specific to each individual athlete. As a pro athlete they have obtained a certain level of "fitness" and so they focus on improving specific aspects of that "fitness" i.e. improve flexibility, improve explosiveness, improve stamina etc

Biggest factor is genetics really. You won't get anywhere in a professional field without hard work, though.

I didn't ask about the biggest factors how is this relevant?

How do you know what I want or why I am interested in these.

As a simple question, get smarta$$ replies. Is this AH?

In fairness he probably meant if you have to ask on here you don't want to jump straight in to a pro's routine.

That's assuming you wanted the info to replicate it personally.

And it wasn't an unfair assumption.

Terrible attitude to a perfectly good response. I think you are the one that should go back to AH.

You really want to know what work a pro footballer does in season ?, cause it's not gonna be much use to you.

eg. they might have a game Saturday which would result in something like this:

    Saturday-Match

Sunday-rest with maybe some light activity as part of the recovery process

Monday-training is kept relatively light, no strength work done

Tuesday- Only strength training they'll do all week, player will focus on what
their S&C coach directs them to, which will normally be areas they are weak in specific to the player (eg. player has much greater force production in one leg over the other, so the main thing they may work on is strengthening the other leg), probably some functional movement training aswell.

    Wednesday-just training

Thursday- training, maybe flexibility work and working on movement patterns/functional movement.

Friday-rest before game, training is light

If they're playing 2 games in a week (eg. Saturday, Wednesday) they may have no strength training during the week and at best would just do some flexibility and functional movement work.

Footballers don't do any cardio training outside of 'normal' training as they get more than the necessary amount required that and games.

Not probably what you wanted to hear, but there you go.
While looking for your answer for professional athletes routines you may find footballers aren't the only ones hindered by the nature of their sport either.

And don't forget the spitroasting or whatever it is that Professional Footballers get up to of a weekend.

Is that slang for getting it on with your sister in law?

    And the dwarf throwing.
I hear it's good for the "core" as a "functional" exercise
