Has anyone seen the new specs for the facelifted A4? Its due in February but the Audi website doesn't have the details of the models specifications.

There's a new A4 coming out in February? Probably be exactly the same as the old one except with new front lights and a higher price.

    *Yawns...:D

Just like the 159 facelift then...

ROR would be the man to ask OP.

You've got in one, new lights, bonnet, aloys and more toys inside, don't know about the price though

Thanks EPM, I know he's the man with this kind of info so I'll just wait for him to come along.

    Any update on orders?

Strangely, just come off the phone to Audi about the PI models.....

Standard Model now gets 17" Wheels, Bluetooth, Parking Sensors and is more or less what the pre PI SE model was, but missing Cruise and Colour display.

    SE gets:
    Cruise Control
    5 Arm 17" Wheels
    Rain & Light Sensors
    Anti Glare Rear View mirror
    Advanced Key
    3 Zone Climate Control
    Colour Driver info System

€1,700 premium for the SE over the base model - not worth it in my opinion.

Add the Colour driver info system to a base model for around €180 ish (I think) and Cruise if you need it (€500 ish).

€170 price increase, which for the better standard kit, is damn reasonable.

What does the advanced key give you? Anything over and above setting recall?

Does the Advanced key allow for entry/engine start etc without taking the key out of the pocket?

I don't recall the 159 getting a facelift other than new wheels and a few new colours about a year ago. @ROR, €170 seems very reasonable but what's the RRP for a new A4 TDI these days?

Entry level TDI with 120bhp is €35,500

From memory (and this is talking to Audi Chris at the A4 launch early 08) the Advance Key stores all the service information - like BMW have had for ages.

Looking at the product guide though it says "Engine switched on with stop/start button." so it might be keyless start. Sounds good, but means there is no handy place to put the big, unweildy key.

When I had a similar key on a BMW it recalled all settings with the key. I.e seat position, radio station, heating settings, DRL on etc. so you could have different keys for different people wth their own settings. Also had the service info on it etc.

However from a quick look online, it doesn't mention any of the above for the Audi one, just keyless access and go.

Still pretty nice, along with auto lights, wipers and the 3 zone climate with cruise and colour screen then imo the SE upgrade is well worth the money.

The Audi key will do all that too. I don't even have the advanced key on my Audi and it remembers settings specific to each key. As far as I know, the advanced key is more about key less entry and go.

At 35k it's a useful discount on an A6 - though leather is standard on that.
As was said cruise and colour display would make it a good proposition

With leather, cruise and the 177bhp engine it would be a nice bus. But all the Irish ones I see have cloth and 120bhp engines. I've seen a few new-model nearly-new A6s around the 40 mark.

A compact prestige saloon with cloth seats and a puny engine is THE MOST POINTLESS CAR IN THE WORLD (IMO):).
