Around 20 hours after a playstation all nighter in 1998.....god that seems like a lifetime ago...

18 hours sober. God knows how long after rag week last year, whatever time i got home at in the late morning/early afternoon I missed the whole day and most of the next day before getting up :P

Then again I could sleep 12-14 hours on any given night if I have no reason to get up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,698 ✭✭✭Topper Harley

With jet lag or after and all nighter or two, I could easily sleep up to 18 hours.

But if you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person?

I don't normally sleep much (5 hours a night, tops, about 40 minutes of hibernation on the bus some days on top of that), but I crash every two weeks or so and sleep for anywhere between 14 and 18 hours in one session

1am - 17:30pm so over 16 hours. Worst thing was that I didnt have an excuse to sleep for so long, I had a grand nights sleep the previous night.

Last night I went to bed at 1:30am and woke up today at 2pm.

    6 Months in total.

I was in a job for a year that was actually was work, bed, work, bed, work... and on.
I genuinely can't remember much of that year! Half of it was pure sleep.

On one straight sleep? Three and a half days.

Slept from 12am to 8pm last week. Was trying to fix my sleeping pattern so instead of going to bed at the usual time of 6am, I decided to wait til the following night. Needless to say, I'm still nocturnal

I was drugged by so called friends.
When I woke up and got my head together, they were no longer friends and one was fired there after!

Similar thing happened to me once. I think it was 26 hrs or something like that. Was completely mental anyway. I can easily sleep for 16hrs if I'm comfortable and have fug all else to do.

Around 23 hours after St. Patricks Day a few years ago, 3 days of heavy drinking and very little sleep, got home and went to bed at around 8PM, woke up the next day around 7PM.

Edit: Forgot to mention I've been told I sleep too much sometimes, any time I have off college I usually sleep 11-12 hours a night if I've got nothing to do the next day..

In college, after pulling three all-nighters in a row getting my dissertation submitted on time, I slept for something like 20 hours. I basically slept through an entire day.

With jet lag, I've slept for about 16-17 hours.

I need a lot of sleep. I need a minimum of 7 hours and can easily sleep for 10 hours if I don't have to get up for something.

I did about 20 hours one night a few years ago. I'd been on a 4.30am start in work and just couldnt get any proper sleep at night.

After the month long shift, i went to bed at around 3 in the afternoon, woke up at 10pm for a piss and some toast, and went back to bed until 10am the next day.

The missus even had some friends over for drinks, slept through the whole thing...

I regularly sleep 18 - 20 hours on a friday night after a week of night shifts. Getting through a week on 3 - 4 hours sleep a day is exhausting, can't wait for bed tonight! :D

12 hours after a midweek heavy drinking session for my birthday a couple of years ago. Crashed in my bed about 7pm and woke up for work at 7am. Fresh after a hungover-from-hell day :(

Coming from an insomniac that was a true achievement

I hate you all sleepers

    :pac:

I've just slept for 13 of the last 17 hours.

I don't think I've ever slept more than 12 hours in one stretch.

No lie mate, I'd had a rather rough weekend before it, and was existing on about 4/5 hours sleep a night in the weeks leading up to it.

I slept close to 30 hours after being slipped something in a drink while on a night out. Barely remember getting home, don't remember getting put to bed. When I woke up I realised I'd lost a day. It was so confusing. Worst experience of my life.

21 hours after taking a sleeping tablet. I took the train from Barcelona to Burgos (9 hour trip) and couldn't sleep on the way. So for the return trip I decided to get sleeping tablets. The chemist said take one and if there's no effect after 30 minutes take another. So I took one. No effect after 30 mins, but I sat it out instead of popping another one.

Just over eight hours later, I woke up in Barcelona to my friends beating the shìte out of me. I was last off the train. They nearly thought that they'd have to carry me off. On to the metro, and my apartment was only three stops from the train station but I still managed to fall asleep standing up holding onto the pole in the middle of the train. My friend told me when it was my stop, I got off, went into bed and slept for another 13 hours straight. Thank Christ I never took the second tablet!!!

Lesson of the day: don't underestimate over the counter stuff in Spain!

30 hours give or take - same as earlier poster, went to bed on Tuesday night after having had basically no sleep for about four days, woke up on Thursday and went to college. Took me till around lunchtime to realise that it wasn't actually Wednesday. Wrecked my head totally, I wonder how people feel coming out of a coma?

I'm a big sleeper though - I've always said if I could earn a living from sleeping, I'd be very rich indeed :D

23 hours after staying up for 2 days straight to get a college assignment done.
Would have beaten the day mark only my "considerate" housemates came in to see if I was still alive. Grrrrr.

I still remember the chronic Red bull hangover after waking up. ***Shiver***
