anybody got one or heard any reviews on them. I am thinking of getting one and just want to know if they are comfortable or do they restrict movement in anyway. i am not really getting it for compression purposes, i just think they look cool :D

If you wear one on the bike you will look like a triathlete.

    Is this your intent?

They also magnify any flab you have by a factor of 10 :( not a pretty sight :(

No, just need a new long sleeve jersey and liked the look of it.
Anybody recommend a light weight jersey for about 150 euro.

Have a set of both the leggings and top. Really depends on what size you buy as to how restrictive they are. I got a size smaller (for compression) and never really found them that restrictive and they definitely stretch a bit after a couple of washes.

As for the benefits of compression garments in recovery and subsequent exercise performance.... Without wanting to open a giant can of worms; There's a good deal of literature reporting reductions in percieved muscle soreness, but in most cases no physiological changes in post-exercise metabolites or stress markers have been observed. Others have observed no differences at all.

Measuring percieved muscle soreness in such studies is highly questionable to begin with, since the test is in no way double blinded. Never underestimate the power of suggestion. In the same way that such papers report significantly reduced "muscle soreness" following the wearing of supercool looking Skins compression garments, if i was to run a similar methodology, i'd be fairly confident of observing a significant increase in "muscle awesomeness" just by wearing the new Cavendish signature Oakleys....

I wouldn't bother with long sleeve jerseys. Better to buy short sleeve jerseys (of which there are thousands) and arm warmers (Assos, Castelli etc) - much more flexible as you can add/remove the warmers on a ride depending on weather.

I got the long shorts and long sleeve top, think I should have got a smaller size but actually maybe it was only 3xl left, they fit snuggly but not much compression, same as lycra cycling shorts.

the top I wear under a a running shirt at the gym and fits very tight, it makes me more aware of muscles, its kind of anatomically shaped. I do clean and press with a barbell, pseudo effect probably

A garmin is tempting but i just got a new computer. Will probably just get an assos jersey and not chance anything with unfirmiliar sizing.

Got a couple of Under Armour tops for Xmas, they're top class and keep my super warm in these cold mornings. I think they're abt 50 quid and if I'm right they're cheaper than Skins.

They were on sale in lifestyle
