iPad2 or Sony S

Folks, I want to buy a tablet and I'm really torn between these 2. The toughts of no flash player and having to deal with iTunes puts me off the iPad2. Then again, nobody I know has the Sont S Tablet so I don't have anything to go on there.

I would be using it for watching streamed programs/movies and general internet surfing.

    Any advice.

Sorry if there is already a thread for this.

I have a Sony tablet S and I love it.

Youtube is fine on it, surfing is great and easy, plenty of Android apps out there for it.

It feels good in the hand, batter life (depending on usage) is good. I got about 10 hours of just listening to music, and about 4 hours just watching movies.

    I'd highly recommend it.

in spite of missing flash in my experience (I'm a tablet sales 'specialist') the iPad is still the most stable one of the lot, and the easiest to use. It also has the largest selection of content, even if more of that content is 'legal' vs say my brother's galaxy phone which has every NES/SNES/Sega ROM known to mankind on it (that app has since been pulled from the market :o)

Not saying I wouldn't strongly consider the Acer A100 Iconia or the Sony S but I'd want to test drive them before I felt really committed. What you can do, is buy them from some place like PC World and assuming their return policy is any good (or somewhere else that is) you can even 'test drive' some of your purchases. At Best Buy the policy is lenient enough that you have 2 weeks to return it, open or not, used or not, and get a refund or exchange on it. Since christmas alone I've had a few exchanges where people brought back Kindle Fire's to get an iPad. Other times I've seen people swap one droid tab for another, or an iPad for a droid or a droid for an iPad, it just depends on the person. It comes down to 'doesn't do what I want' or 'I hate the feel of it' sort of stuff. Fortunately we have a system in place which can filter out 'rental abuse' customers to offer that kind of policy - but I suggest finding somewhere that does similar and give one of them a shot.
