Required grade for sponsored PDA

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me?

I am currently being sponsored to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and I have exams coming up next week (aaah!). I read over the letter I was sent by the Big 4 firm that is sponsoring me and it says something about getting CAP1 exemptions as well as a 2:1 and I am freaking out. To get CAP1 exemptions we need 50% and talking to people being sponsored by other firms they only need to get 50% overall. I was wondering whether anyone has any idea whether this applies or whether it was a general letter sent out to everyone being sponsored?
It seems weird that I would have to do 10% better than everyone else? I am thinking about calling up HR but I don't want to bug them with something that might just be my misunderstanding.

    Thank you!

I did an accountancy post grad a few years ago..
Got 48% and 49% in two out of the 12 or so subjects..

Apparently you need 50% in all subjects to qualify for ACA Cap1 exemptions..

So I had to sit all of Cap 1.. pretty sickening.

However, ACCA would've given me a lot of exemptions.. can't remember how many now.. could've been as high as 9 exempt papers.

Apologies if that's not correct anymore.. That was in 2008..

    - Oh and it wasn't a sponsored PDA.

As long as you get the CAP1 exemptions, I doubt the 2.1 will matter. Obviously that's not definitive but it's been the case with everyone I've come across, particularly in Big 4.

    Hi

I was in this situation last year. My particular Big 4 wanted just the 50% (so full CAP1 exemptions) but I had 2:1 undergraduate degree.

They said that if I didnt have an undergraduate 2:1 then I would need 60% in the postgrad in acc.
