So I've got a few questions that I'm looking for your guys opinion on. They may seem slightly off the wall, but I'm just trying to figure things out in my head.

Has anyone any idea, roughly of course, how long it would take to run/cycle 2000 Km? Ideally run, but im realistically thinking one day bike one day run as it would be less pressure and slightly  easier! A duathlon of sorts.

How long would people think it would take to get upto a fitness where this would be achievable? HIIT,endurance, power training? is the best approach to build up a good base and then build on the miles?

Apologies if that seems all over the place, im just looking for some sort of opinions on it.

    Thanks,

    Mullser

depends on where your fitness is at the moment! no one can answer your question because we dont know where your at now, you could be a established dualathalite in which case you prob could already do it, or at the other end you might not run or cycle at all in which case you would need at least two years training to do it with lowest risk of injury imo.

80k on bike each day and and 30k running each day?, that would have you complete it in 18 days, the tri lads will know more than me

    Agree with Bart

30km is less than a marathon (3/4?) and at 6min km pace would be 3 hours a day. Let's say you're going to take it even slower and run at 6:30 pace then it would be 3 hrs 15 mins a day. At a steady 25km cycle then 80km would be around the same time.

Both pretty achievable but the amount of fitness work you can do before hand and the higher your base the less chance of injury. Even if you were unable to run you would be able to manage to walk 30km a day.
