Last day off work

So today is/was the last day off work :(

Got up at 06:40, quick bowl of porridge and pack gear into the car. Drove to the shore, met the brother and a few friends.

We fired a nice few shots but most birds were realistically too high and fast for our collective talents. Cold morning but enjoyable all the same and some "game curry" ingredients in the bag too.

Apologies about quality, not the steadiest hand in the wind.

Just on the breast as I recall, which we can't see in that photo. Could be wrong though.

This is my first time replying on the new phone so hope this works. They're tufted duck, sometimes they have more distinctive feathers on the back of their heads.

One of the duck had blood on the white feathers of his breast so i turned them over. Would have been easier identify them belly up.

Cheers for the correction on the other thread Veg. Not familiar with tufted duck myself. Nice shooting though.

Sure there's no need to be admitting to things like that! :D Better to just smile and nod.

Let us know what they taste Like Veg - I've never prepared this species myself as I can't resist the big boys ie. Mallards;)

Yeah they're not mouth watering or anything but in a curry it's not a deal breaker.
