What to do with AerLingus Voucher

I got an Aerlingus voucher for €50 for my birthday.
Lovely present except booking with ryanair would be cheaper even after considering the voucher into the costs.

Any suggestions on how to spend it? It expires in a few months...can I buy anything else apart from flights? Can I sell it to a friend?
Any info would be very appreciated.

    Thanks,
    SJ

No hotels are exempt on their terms and conditions. I'm afraid I may only be able to use in literally sitting in a seat in the air...you cant even use it in their duty free or sky purchasing dealy...

    Very very restrictive....

I take it your birthday was a while back, as Aer Lingus vouchers are normally valid for 12 months from date of issue!
