Is there anywhere you can throw a few extra bags of rubbish, pay for it, whatever, as long as I can get rid of them.

    Greatly appreciated.

Where is your local tip? Would they not be open?

Tip? As in Dunsink Dump site? Is there an actual service?

If it's recycling you can crush it up more. Used to rent a place with my brother and a mate back in our party heyday and we'd often spend a sunny Saturday afternoon in the garden crushing beer cans so we could fit more into the green bin.

Do you have a person near-by that has little rubbish normally in their bins?
If so, ASK them if its ok to dispose of some of your stuff with them I suppose?

I dont actually know my neighbours, in fact I think one dropped a hint to one of my housemates about the bags. I truly thought that this forum would save me from what will inevitably be heated argument.

Get down off your high horse and jump up and down on your bin

There are those big rubbish machine thingys at texaco petrol stations now, you can just throw them in and it crushes it. I think it costs about 4 euro for 2 bags.

Set fire to it and make sure you're holding a frying-pan with a few sausages in it, so that you can tell the jobsworth from the council that you're having a barbie. If he doesn't let you off, hit him with the frying-pan and set fire to him as well.

You can drop them off at oxigens centre in ballymount. Its €12 for a car load. Or maybe look up dublinwaste.ie and see do any of the bring centres take household rubbish. I think Coolmine might, you will have to pay tho.

Is there anyone in the area that operates a service which transports items locally?
Maybe if you bung a few quid, to someone with a car and trailer (or hire/borrow a trailer?) to take it away?

Just put the body parts in concrete and let it set - then chuck 'em in the river.

Who's the bin company? Give them a call as they might have a truck passing by who will collect it for you.

Could you rent a 'skip bag' or small skip, between yourself & a few neighbours/friends?
I am guessing many people will have a LOT of junk atm, xmas decs etc coming down, not to mention boxes & other crapola left over, and might be interested in a neighbourhood 'skip share' perhaps? Just an idea...

    Good idea!

Contact any possible head of a estate/flats/residents committee and ask about all jointly doing the above?

Every council will have a waste management page with locations of dumps/collection points in your area.
If you can't find it on your local council page try asking in your regional forum.
