Engagement rings - advice on buying up North please

    Hi all,
    I've read in previous threads that engagement rings in the North are better value, more bang for your buck than in the republic.
    Looking for people to pm me please with their experiences of buying up there, what jewellers are best etc.
    Also considering buying online, either ebay or maybe even done deal - thoughts?
