It depends on the car, engine, year, when it was changed before etc etc

Big difference between the fuel filter intervals between petrol and diesel.

Squeezing blood from a stone eh!

Lets assume its a 1.4 then for now....some models have in tank filters(never serviced) and some have the external type in the engine bay so it depends on which you have.

ADT32362 is the blueprint part number for the external one, they should be easily available in any decent motorfactors.

Normally I would say change it to be on the safe side, I always change fuel filters during a "full" service. But with a toyota corolla those fuel pipes on the filter will be very very very VERY tight and are a lot of hassle to undo and sometimes the part of the filter you hold with the spanner breaks off, and then you're in the **** as you can't heat it or grind it to help.

They can also be a right pain in the ass to seal again properly. I've never seen a corolla with any issues caused by a fuel filter being blocked. For your own sake I would say leave it.

Its in the engine bay on the passenger side against the firewall.
I changed an 11year old petrol one about a year ago, just out of interest I cut the old one open (carefully). It was spotless inside.
OP unless you are having fuel delivery problems that you can trace to it leave it alone is my advice.
