Unless it's Saorview certified you never know the day something is a problem.

    Notes:
Any TV must not be visible from Drivers Position.
The Irish network is not designed for Mobile Coverage.
The only major omission appears to be MHEG5, so not Saorview compatible, but should receive TV & Radio today, but who knows tomorrow.

What are you going to watch it on and what are you going to use for an Aerial? It seems a great waste of money.

A Certified 16" set, a clip on bracket for small pole and a 16 element or larger Log periodic (only way to cover all groups / any transmitter) would be better for Picnics/Camping (or Overnights on a Van/Truck).

I understand the 'driving' watching tv part. Thats obvious ive been driving long enough to know that.
On a side note there is no law stating a TV should not be visible from drivers position. but manufacturers
add a tv off while in drive mode to their systems (on dash mounted tvs)

The dynavin unit is Android based platform so im primarily buying for the flexibility the operating system is offering but it also advertises as having a DVB T Tuner interface with adjoining specs. Such an option would be entirely worthwhile watching Champions league while the other half is browsing the shops.

So im gauging from your post that iyo it should work with current compatibility standard.

It's at best partially compatible and most of the time there will not be a good enough signal.

Stay away from the Hualingan version. It doesnt decode MPEG4.

The version above MPEG4/AVC will be fine for displaying TV channels.
Saorview dont certify this type gear!

You should be more concerned about the aerial that will be installed.

An external whip aerial would be fairly rubbish. What type aerials do they come with ? Obviously where you are will dictate the ability to pick up a signal.

Ya not a fan of the Hualingan, it doesnt look oem. The aerial was some concern but i think ive found an option on one that can be installed hidden. My location is South Dublin ive never had any issues receiving DTT lived in a number of locations here.

    Cheers lads.

    Using the windscreen ?

Location: When you are out driving I meant. In around Town, built up areas, high buildings etc will be obstacles.

I have an Android Dynavin fitted to my Rover 75, but without a DVB tuner.

If you want more info, try contacting Sean here: http://autogpsdvds.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=59. His email address is admin@autogpsdvds.com. He has supplied hundreds of headunits to the Rover 75 club and is very knowledgeable on all things Dynavin.

He is in Canada but most of the bits I get from him come from the UK.

Have you purchased yet? I'm upgrading to the D99 shortly - this has OBC, Parrot BT etc.
