Peoples a bit of advice if you will indulge me.

    Back Story:
February 2009 I weighed 25.5 Stone, through having been made redundant I set out to lose all the weight I could. August 2009 I dropped down to 14.5 stone through going to the gym 7 days a week for 7 months and ate low calorie diet. In October 2009 I moved to Dublin and in March 2010 I suffered 3 Trans-Ischemic strokes due to a hole in my heart which was successfully fixed. This made me lazy and slowed me down a lot excercise wise.

I am a 17st 6lbs and 6ft 5.5, since moving to dublin two years ago I have put on about 2 Stone which is quite alot at this stage and I need to bring things back in to line as I never want to get back to where I once was. I put the bulk of it on since I met my GF, through comfort eating etc.

As someone who is well used to losing weight and excercise I find it hard now to be motivated to lose any as I cant focus on weight loss / gym work whilst working. Previously my original diet and gym work went hand in hand with each other gym in the morning, low calorie diet and 1 hour walk in the evenings, rest of the time chilling out doing zilch which required low energy levels.

Now the old diet is impossible as I have tried going back but it leaves me too drained and tired as I am in need of more energy than the old diet provided especially mentally with work.

I am part of RAW on Camden St , Dublin but have gone rarely since joining at the start of November, its quality in there but I dont know where to start anymore. Before my stroke I was very good at cardio, I could walk and walk forever but now my body doesnt let me go beyond a certain point anymore. I need to go back in there and also need a new diet, and not a diet in the "diet" sense but what food I should and shouldnt be eating.

I know however what I shouldnt be eating as I am a terror for for cakes, sweets and chocolate, all manners of sugar, I have however cut it out before so it shouldnt be too hard. Thankfully I am no longer a big drinker, I dont drink beer pretty much at all anymore, and stick to wine "If" I am having a drink, nor do I ever drink spirits. All my weight comes from grazing, of sweets, biscuits, cakes, crisps.

I would ideally like to get back to 15st 7lbs - 16st (ish) thats the weight I feel best at. Any suggestions ideas etc would be greatly appreciated to get my juices flowing mentally as I am at a brick wall as to how to get back fit again.

Also its worth saying I cant run, I never have been able to run all that well , hence why walking played such a large part of my original weight loss programme.
