I got some vouchers for my wife for lessons with Seamus about 6 months off. She got two lessons with him and didn't find him too great. He tended to wander off in the middle of the lesson and chat with his pals who were passing by - not great manners really, when you're paying him hard earned cash.

That was just one experience though and I wouldn't rely on it. We might have been unlucky.

ive had a few lessons with Seamus a few years ago, I thought he was v good, brings you back to the basics and helps you understand balance
    I found it very useful.

I had a few lessons with Seamus a few years ago when I was a little bit past the beginner stage. I found him very good and I am surprised that he went off chatting with his pals. Maybe they just picked the wrong time to 'pass by' but she should have 'nicely' complained if he did it more than once. It might be a bit of a problem with the pros - boredom. My husband went for a lesson once to the late Mr Smith - I can't remember his first name, but his son is the famed Noel Smyth. There was a lady getting a lesson and my husband was sort of hanging around waiting. He said that Mr Smith, who was quite elderly at the time, was sitting in a chair for the duration of that lesson. Then my husband's turn came. He's been caddying and playing since he was in short pants. I don't know what problem he presented Mr Smith with that he wanted corrected but he was asked to hit a few balls. My husband said that Mr Smith immediately stood up and remained so for the duration of the lesson. In short, he was no longer bored I would say.
