    Hey guys,

Just wondering the best way to go about claiming PAYE back, I only worked during the summer and seemed to pay quite a bit, only earned about 8,000 in total in 2011 and really need to claim the tax back if possible.

Also, is there anyway to claim universal social charge refund? I have tried to look on google etc but I cant really find anything helpful.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

If you only worked for the summer and received your p45, you should be able to do an online review to claim your PAYE for 2011. Go to Revenue.ie and register for the PAYE anytime service. Just follow the onscreen instructions. It couldn't be easier.

The USC is charged on all your 8 grand as you earned over the 4004 euro exempt limit so no refund would be due. The Revenue website has a link on its homepage for the USC.
