Hi, I have a problem with my 2001 almera. The power steering is just not what it should be, It makes a whistle noise when its at full lock and when i start the car and move off in the mornings the steering can be quite hard to operate (steering wheel stiffens and it gets hard to move it) When the car is warmed uo the steering seems ok on the road but if i stop to do a 3 point turn or reverse in a parking spot it fights back at me again..

My mate had alook at it and reckons it just needs fresh power steering fluid, But surely if thats all it was it wouldnt be this dramatic?
